Wow, yes. Same. I found some letters I sent to my Mom when I was 20 or so, and wow -- did we have a different relationship then. Made me cry too.

And yes, it was much easier to take care of my Dad, less so my mother -- whom I don't like that much and is more difficult.

Now I'm thinkig about Thanksgiving: how I should probably join them at the assisted living facility, but I just want to stay home, under the covers.
