What's going on in Gaza is urban warfare, and there are civilian casualties. We don't know how many, because thus far there is no accurate accounting of who of the casualties were civilians and who were combatants. "Slaughter" is certainly a term that can be interchangeably used with "killing," but it still doesn't make it genocide. I'm not the one who came up with the definition -- the international tribunals did. Perhaps you should turn your attention to them.
