To be perfectly frank, I know nothing about Canadian politics. To be even more frank, it never even occurred to me that reproductive freedom was under threat there — down here we have an image of Canada as a whole of being thoughtful, calm and reasonable. Thank you for talking about it.

As for why it’s happening here, I actually don’t ascribe such a sinister motivation to the men I’m addressing. I’m not addressing the men who are actually working to pass these restrictive laws or overturn Roe v. Wade. Their motivations are probably downright Medieval, but a lot of ink has been spilled on that already.

I’m just so curious about the the men who believe in the right to choose, who want their partners to be able to terminate pregnancy, but are just too apathetic to say anything. It’s the apathy that drives me insane.
