This just isn't true. Certainly the United States has engaged in disastrous foreign policy, but it pales in comparison to what Russian forces are currently doing in Ukraine, and previously did in Chechnya. Putin jails political opponents (we don't) and has state run medial (we don't). I think throw-away opinions like this is what gives people fodder to say "under informed."
