This is just such a weird exchange -- possibly the weirdest I've had on Medium, and that's saying a lot. The differentiation between an experience and the interpretation of an experience is a red herring; it frankly makes no sense. They are the same exact thing.

As for the comments that "I always have to be right" or I must have the last word -- don't be silly. The fact that I am going to throw some elbows when someone comes to tell me that I experienced my experience incorrectly does not mean either of those things. It means that I'm not going to let someone tell me I've experienced my experience wrong. (I hope you don't do this to other people; terrible habit).
