Thank you so much for writing this. I was one of the people enraged and tweeting at Sonmez. Still am, although trying to talk myself down every day. But then she just continues to insert herself in this tragedy; yesterday she tweeted an article comparing her treatment on Twitter to a totalitarian regime. I mean, enough.

The best thing to do would be to let her slide into oblivion, and not respond to her at all. But this would only work if the mob followed along, and as you pointed out, there are still quite a few folks elevating her as a #MeToo hero.
