I’m sure the boss was a d*ck, but female bosses can be awful too.

But the bigger red flag here is that the writing is simply awful. There are multiple run on sentences, or incomplete sentences. There are mentions of things in paragraphs (see “the editor I tried to protect”) that we never heard about before. Saddam Hussein is spelled wrong. The liberal incorrect use of the word “literally.” I could go on.

It would be one thing if this came from a non-professional, but this writer was a managing editor. Given how bad it is, I find it impossible to believe this is the whole story. Perhaps the conflict at work was not because her boss hated women, but he hated women who were bad at their jobs.
