Regarding his offensive comments, how do we (or do we?) factor in what we know about his mental health? We don't know a lot, and I don't have the timeline at my fingertips, but I do remember a time when he was treated for what was described as something like bipolar disorder. He seems to fit the "mad genius" trope, and I wonder if that changes the way one should look at his comments?

As for cancel culture, I do believe it exists - but just for the little guy. As was said about the auto industry, some things are just "too big to fail."
