Anyway, we can assess intent. We know the intent from several things, this piece would have been way too long if I listed all of them: phone calls telling civilians to find safe passage, Twitter messages warning civilians of where military action would be, creating safe passage for aid (which Hamas then bombed), bringing incubators into the hospital, treating captured combatants in line with the rules of war.. These are not signs of a state intent on destroying “a group, in whole or in part.”


Hamas shelters among civilians, knowing full well it would make warfare more difficult. You, like many people, seem to be confusing the horrors of war with genocide. They are different. It’s hard for some people to handle that fact, probably because they are overwhelmed watching the suffering. You’re one of them apparently.
