I'm not going to debate the numbers with you, because either side of this disagreement could pull numbers to support their position. For instance, currently there are more American women in college, medical school, and law school than men, and this trend is not abating. More are single homeowners than men, and this trend is also not abating. When you drill down on the gender pay disparity, you see that it has everything to do with motherhood, and less to do with gender.
So, again: we disagree. I do not think American women suffer under a patriarchal system. You do. The difference between us is that I'm not trying to change your mind, but somehow you are trying to change mine.
