I'm getting a lot of messages like this, and I think that maybe my writing isn't good enough to convey what I wanted to convey. What I meant to communicate was not that comments about weight or scars are somehow better, but that they weren't happening as direct comments from friends. I haven't seen friends say to other friends things like "wow, you're fat!" But I could be wrong. If those things are happening then of course they are worse.
