If I understand it correctly, members of the platform buy what would amount to stock shares (for lack of a better term) in other members of the platform. (The stock rises based on reputational clout -- like all stock, really). Then, in turn, the person who was purchased can float back a benefit to the purchasers, who then encourage other people to buy stock shares in them. The whole thing is dependent on more people joining and buying.
