I thought about karma when I wrote this, but this feels like a subsection of karma. My understanding of karma is that what you give out, comes back. But within that, is the idea that if you go too far, upset the natural order of things, there is a punishment. (As opposed doing something bad to others, and then having some bad happen to you).
