I know this is sort of a modern instinct -- boundaries for everything -- but it this case it's just not realistic. I can't let my father (who was great to me) simply crack his head open on the shower floor, or never change his clothes because he can't. And thus far we are using their money, not mine. I'm not sure what's going to happen if/when we have to use mine.
