I don't mind celebrities using their influence -- that's why I wrote about how well Princess Di did it. What I mind is celebrities squandering their influence, like Markle did here, because they become so deluded about who they are and what they can accomplish. If you read about these phone calls, it's pretty clear that the senators were highly annoyed by her hubris. So it's a waste.
