As you point out, it's not my job to determine who is a victim and who isn't. There are plenty of people who have suffered greatly, and yet reject the term "victim" as a way to describe themselves. On the other hand, there are people who both describe themselves as victims and write about only that, as if there is nothing else interesting about them, as if their suffering is the only things that define them.

I don't want that type of writing for Sybarite. That does not cause further harm to anyone. Anyone is free to write about whatever they want -- this point is so obvious, it pains me that I have to make it. They just can't write about their victimhood for Sybarite.
