After experiencing all this, I really believe that we should have nothing on our faces while we sleep. Zilch. And if you think about it a little too hard, it seems kinda gross -- all that product sliming over our pillows and then sliming back on onto us. I'm sure the regeneration theory is also true.

As for moisturizer, I hear you. I tend to use sunblocks that are also moisturizers, so that takes care of it in the morning. But if I had overly dry skin that would drive me nuts and I'd start using one.

The piece, I hope, is really about the power of giving up -- cause I'm definitely no expert on any of this. Thank you for reading and the thoughtful response.
